Freak icon Leigh Bowery’s deliberately offensive art-punk performance art

Many can appreciate original music and stage performance. Only few can appreciate artists who go  above and beyond artistic expression.

Artists such as G.G. Allin can invoke intrigue and disgust all in one shot.

In the early 1990's, when bands such as Oasis and Pulp were being brought to the U.S airwaves, a band name Minty was born in London.

Fronted by Leigh Bowery, Minty was an obscure, fashionista/club kid/performance art, musical combo. Think The Cramps meets Butthole Surfers meets Culture Club meets B52's.

With a small number of singles, and banned from several venues due to their offensive on stage antics, Minty has now become somewhat of a cult legend. Want to know what all the hype is about? Check it out yourself by watching a few of Minty's music videos!
