Some bands work hard to craft their image and define their style and some bands just kick in the doors already knowing exactly what territories they want to conquer. MC5 is one of those bands that will forever leave an indelible mark on all that is rock n' roll with a gritty mid western swagger that transcends borders and eras. I can honestly say it was an honor to meet Mike Davis a few times before he passed. Really bummed that the project I worked on with him and his wife Angela for Destroy All Monsters, might never see the light of day. Keep on rockin' amigo!
